Content-Workshops-Cuban Salsa. Instructors Eusebio Crespo and Barbara Perez.
BEGINNERS: Focus is obviously on the basic steps and rhythms of the development and coordination in the dance. We work our way up as you begin to feel comfortable with the music and rhythm and increasingly confident in the steps and dance. Gradually we begin to go through the traditional turns in Cuban salsa.
INTERMEDIATE: We will try to consolidate and develop dance technique and acquired knowledge. We will achieve this by developing basic turns with their more complicated variants, the instructors will introduce us into the polyrhythmic of the cuban music and get in touch with otrher cuban dances such as son, rumba, cha cha cha etc, Now we can begin to dance La Rueda de Casino.
ADVANCED: We take up a palette of different Cuban dances: Rumba, Son, Danzon, mambo, cha cha cha, salsa, pilon, Afro-Cuban dance and Rueda de Casino. The theme through out the advanced course is to learn Baila con sabor, or in other words, to dance with feeling . We will make something new, fun and sophisticated. "In different levels of Cuban salsa, there will be Salsa for Men and Salsa for Women"
